Your district may not award contracts for project construction until the Division of the State Architect (DSA) approves all drawings and specifications and provides written approval of the application. If the district makes any changes to the drawings or specifications between the time the DSA stamps the drawings and the time the district awards the contract, the architect or engineer of record must initiate an addendum, and the DSA must approve the changes.
Your district must hire a project inspector (also known as the inspector of record, who must pass DSA administered inspector examinations), and obtain DSA approval of the inspector.
Your district must submit Form DSA-102 (PDF): Contract Information Sheet and Form DSA-5 (PDF): Project Inspector Qualification Record to the DSA at least ten days before beginning construction.
